ANYTHING ON FIRE To Release Split EP With DEAD EYES

January 12, 2008

ANYTHING ON FIRE, the band featuring Adam Cody (vocalist of Century Media's GLASS CASKET),has completed two songs with producer/engineer Jamie King (BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD). Both tracks feature a guest appearance by BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME guitarist Dustie Waring and will appear on a split EP with post-hardcore North Carolina group DEAD EYES, to be released this month on Forsaken Recordings (BLEEDING THROUGH, DEMON HUNTER).

ANYTHING ON FIRE is a band ten years in the making. Comprised of vocalist Adam Cody, bass player and backing vocalist Justin Reich, drummer Tripp Joye and guitarists Ben Lowe and John Vanderford, the group has been a concept only discussed but never formulated until a year ago.

During high school, Ben, Tripp and John were members of an industrial band called TRAUMA VICTIM. With the advent of college, TRAUMA VICTIM ended before its sound could mature. With Justin, Ben, and Tripp recently disbanding from the rock outfit RED ORCHESTRA RADIO and Adam on hold with GLASS CASKET while its core members played with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, their collective desire to play something different from what is out there has finally been put into action. Inspired by industrial bands like SKINNY PUPPY and KMDFM, with heavy influence from post-hardcore legends like BOTCH, their new material is taking shape.

ANYTHING ON FIRE has a significant amount of material written, and plans on going back into the studio late 2008.
